Ex-FEAR FACTORY Members Contemplate New CD Without Founding Guitarist/Songwriter
August 8, 2002Former FEAR FACTORY members Raymond Herrera (drums),Christian Olde Wolbers (bass),and Burton C. Bell (vocals) are strongly rumored to be entertaining the idea of recording another FF album without the contributions of guitarist Dino Cazares, who is widely perceived by the trio as the person most directly responsible for the group's untimely split.
According to reports, discussions have taken place about the band recording a full-length CD and delivering the finished masters to Roadrunner Records, with whom they are said to have at least one more album left under their present recording contract. The group — who have apparently made it clear that they have no intention of touring behind the proposed release — would then wash their hands of the whole thing and go their separate ways, free to pursue other projects as they please.
No official word has yet come down on the matter, but when BLABBERMOUTH.NET asked Herrera if there is any truth to the rumors, the drummer responded simply, "I have to say 'No comment' right now."
